Week 1 Reminders

Swimming Days
Our class swimming days are Monday, Tuesday and Fridays with our first class swim for the school year on Friday 2 February. Please ensure the children have their togs, towel and goggles at school on these days. It is also a good idea to name all items of clothing as sometimes these can get muddled in the changing rooms.

Library
Our library day will be Friday starting from Week 2 (Friday 9 February).

Stationery
Please bring this to school the first week back if possible. There is no need to name the pens, pencils, rubbers, and other loose items as we will put these out for communal use over the year. All books, reading folders and library bags do need to be named please. You are welcome to re-use reading folders and library bags from last year.

Drink Bottles
Children are welcome to keep their drink bottles inside the classroom on the blue shelves just inside the classroom doors. Please name these.

Sunhats
School sunhats (named) are required to be worn outside during Term 1. The navy wide brimmed hats are available from The Warehouse or Mainland Uniforms. Children can hang these on their bag hooks outside or keep them in their school bag.

Welcome to 2018 in Kohara

Welcome back to Waimairi and a special welcome to those of you who are new to Kohara this year. We are looking forward to seeing the children on Thursday 1 February and reconnecting with them after the summer break.

We will be starting the year with a community breakfast as in previous years. There will be free sausages for you all outside the hall on Thursday morning (gluten free options also available) and the coffee shop will also be open. Enjoy a leisurely start to the day and the chance to catch up with friends.
